Who this is for
This page explains how a student of MernCode Academy can ask for their account and personal data to be deleted. It applies to the MernCode Academy website and to the MernCode Academy mobile app, both run by MERNcrest Solutions (Pvt) Ltd.
Delete it yourself
Sign in at merncode.online with your username and password. Open your Profile, scroll to the Danger Zone, and choose Delete account permanently. Confirm with your password.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out on every device.
Ask us to do it
If you cannot sign in, or you would rather ask us, email info@merncode.online from the email address on your account. Write "Delete my account" and give your username. You can also call 0713838637.
We check that the request really comes from you. We then help you finish the deletion, for example by resetting your password so that you can confirm it yourself.
What is deleted
Your name, username, email address, phone number, district, city, short biography and profile photo are removed or replaced, and your password is removed.
Your sign-in sessions, linked sign-in accounts, notification token and two-step sign-in details are deleted.
Everything you wrote to the Geni study helper, and your notifications, are deleted.
What is kept
Records of enrolment, lesson progress, attendance, assignment submissions and marks, payments and certificates are kept, because the academy needs them for its financial and academic records. After deletion they are no longer linked to your name or contact details: the account shows only as Deleted User.
These records are kept for as long as the academy needs them for those purposes.
Backups
Our server backups keep the last 14 days. Deleted personal data leaves the backups as they are replaced within 14 days. We do not restore a deleted account.
After deletion
You can no longer sign in. To study with the academy again you would apply again and receive a new account.
