Learning activity: course enrollments, lesson progress, quiz results, and assignment submissions.
Geni AI chat: messages you send to our AI tutor and optional photos or screenshots you attach for code or error analysis.
Technical data: app version, platform type (web or mobile), and standard server logs needed to operate the service securely.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, SMS, or advertising identifiers.
Mobile App
The MernCode Academy mobile app connects to our servers at merncode.online. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.
With your permission, the app may access your camera or photo library only when you choose to attach an image in Geni AI chat. We do not access your gallery in the background.
Course purchases are completed on our website; the mobile app does not process card payments directly.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and improve our services, deliver courses and lessons, power the Geni AI tutor, track learning progress, issue certificates, and send relevant account or course notifications.
Geni AI requests are processed on our servers. OpenAI API keys are never stored in the mobile app.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We share data only with trusted service providers strictly to operate the platform, including cloud hosting (AWS), email delivery, payment verification (website only), and AI processing providers such as OpenAI for Geni chat responses.
Images or messages you send to Geni may be transmitted to our AI provider through our backend for analysis and are not used to train public models beyond what that provider's terms allow.
Data Retention and Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Account tokens on mobile devices use secure on-device storage.
We retain account and learning data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data.

You may access, update, or delete your account data from your profile settings on merncode.online, or by contacting our support team at info@merncode.online.
Children
MernCode Academy is an educational platform for learners aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
